What is Seb Does the Math About?
Learning Objectives:
- Students will practice flexibility by replacing negative thoughts with curiosity and openness to new challenges.
In Seb Does the Math, students step into the role of Seb, a 13-year-old boy with ADHD who struggles with executive functioning tasks like completing assignments. When Seb begins to question why he even needs to do his math homework, his dad Draven challenges him to think about the purpose behind the task. Through the story and accompanying lesson plans and worksheets, students explore how asking questions about the “why” behind tasks can shift their mindset. This curiosity helps students become more flexible and open to engaging with challenges they might initially resist.
What is Seb Gets Creative About?
